RIPJack, pity you didn't know where the safety catch was on the BSA after you put anotherup the spout. Happy hunting up there❤
Very interesting. When I was young my dad used to cook baked rabbit with rice and baked potatoes and it was delicious.
Had a touch of lead poisoning that one
God rest you jack and thanks a lot for you keeping this top mans memory alive a man after my own heart and he had a lovely character he was a mans man money or fame never phased him hes a true gent rip sir all my respect 🙏
My first time beating was perhaps around 1970 aged 12, Hintlesham, Suffolk... it's a way of life that can't be explained.
Lovely old film 1975 I was 10 years of age then…Gun safety in the Shoot footage leaves a lot to be desired tho….compared to whats practiced today , thank you for uploading 👍
Was a gamekeeper and later river keeper, now retired. Jack Charlton was a childhood hero and I had all Archie Coates books, this is a lovely vignette of how it used to be.
“Lovely cock” - that’s what she said.
Great fun
Go on jack stick yu finger in !😂
We are all part of Jackie’s army
Very Sad that the Survival goods of yesterday now belong to the "Well off,"! Ridiculous Greed and AVARICE! Im so sorry it's come to this in Dcotland, land of my maternal.Ancestors. Sad Sad Sad!😰😠
Rabbit, very tasty!
Jack got scared at 16 minutes 😆
Idiot pulled the ferret through the net these guys should audition for the 3 stooges
Ferreting is a game of silence these 3 never shut up
sandbagger training.
Is this the same Richard Saunders that makes the air gun videos I enjoy so much ?
Posh prats, with no idea!!
If i ever rested my barrel on a Barbed Wire Fence?? a wonderful program but thats a complete No No!!!
Shot my first goose in the heart of the wash in 1979 under the moon at the age of 9, im 53 now and still get goose fever, Wingland , BORN AND BRED, My Father shot many times with Kenzie Thorpe, Sid Right, Frank Harrison, My Father Tought me well, but many hours put in that you get nothing, lovely to see Big Jack understands
Goddamn that ale looks good at the end in the pub.
Blinding program before the world went to anti anything animal hunting wise. Thank you for posting.
True hunters these two are, unlike some people today who want to blast everything. And it’s not always about getting a shot, just enjoying the moment and the surroundings. Rip chaps
There used to be a pack near where I live, but gone to the influx of townies coming out to the country and their dumness on hare chasing. Pack went 39 years ago, and although I didn't watch it often, I still miss the chase, but n9t as much as I miss big Jackie, as I am from Northumberland!
Excellent series Jacks Game, along with Out of Town and Old Country. Pastimes completely ruined today by ignorant objectors and do gooders, without the slightest understanding of the subject.
My youth and half my adult life was spent immersed in field sports of all kinds, and just like Big Jack I collected bird eggs as a boy. Jack would be turning in his grave at the state of his beloved hunting in this country today, absolutely destroyed by people with absolutely no idea of the subject, who see the countryside and its animals as some Disney cartoon. These campaigners and do gooders often do much more harm than any hunter ever did. The illegal release of thousands of American mink on numerous occasions comes to mind. Britain is a laughingstock to the rest of the world today, a country owned and run by criminals who are hellbent on running it into the ground by allowing millions of immigrants to suck at the tit while our own ex service men sleep rough on the streets and our OAP's cannot afford to put their heating on in winter. You are better off out of it Big Jack.
He shoots. He scores!!!
Believe me, although it’s many years ago since I last did it, this is hard work ! You walk miles in a day and have to lug back all you shoot which is very tiring by the end of the day. As Jack said you have to a good dog/dogs or it’s very hard. I didn’t and I spent half my day trying to find what I’d shot !! RIP Jack
jack loved his game persuits
Legend!!
That what we love doing ... having a walk about with your mates with the guns ..... god bless jack a true gent . Rest in peace ....
As it should be done, more to a day with dog and gun than just killing things.
Finches weasel ferrets no digging
Marvellous: two Englishman, armed to the teeth and sporting a bottle of Irish Whiskey!
J&B Scotch Whisky is British (made in Scotland, which is a country in northern Britain) and is not Irish. xx
@@pussypostlethwaitsaeronaut8503 I've just re-watched it and stand corrected; similar, at a glance ;)
That hatchery segment was fascinating....
Dem hounds are devoted to their task....
Such a stoic Scotsman the Guide was, for some people that would have been the hunt of a lifetime. Taking a deer in the woods is one thing, but this hunt was something that most hunters would pay a small fortune to do.
Would have been interesting to know what rifle and caliber Jack used on this hunt. Can you even do this in England & rest of Great Britain today? 40 years went by in a blink of a eye for me. I can say that I got more deer on iron sights rather than a scoped rifle, I am in my 60's and still have 20-20 eyesight.
40 years went by in a blink of the eye.
Thank You for posting this video. This is part of our English & Anglo-Saxon heritage that sadly today some are trying to erase or change.
So they don't even get to eat the meat?
The pipe and the side- by- side made my day!
Thank you❤
so nice
And seriousley dog food
Ferrets that stay on the kill is a traight bred in em. Feeding wont make a difference plain and simple
Everyone is saying how wonderful this is....but how many of you are out supporting your local pack of minkhounds? They are still there and still need your support
A fascinating insight into the proper way of ferret hunting and the passion involved. I remember clearly having rabbit frequently on our table and once on holiday we were given a hare. Largely disappeared off the table these days.
There is something deeply contagious about canine enthusiasm. They are so obviously enjoying themselves..
